Il Capise Mexico is an NGO which focuses on the collective rights of indigenous peoples in Chiapas. For years, works by providing an analysis of historical and political-legal presence of militia groups in indigenous communities.
In November 2007 following the worsening situation in Chiapas declared:
'There is another war, the media war. The strategy: silence. With respect, we turn to you to invite you to break the silence in the Mexican southeast there is repression, prison, media silence and impunity against the indigenous Zapatistas. Please
only this: to break the silence '. The Director of
Capis Ernesto Ledesma, in an international tour of public meetings who want to break the curtain of silence and report in detail on the current situation faced by the indigenous Zapatista communities in Chiapas, after the United States, will be in Europe and in Italy, Saturday, April 5 will be in Milan.
The initiative is at the House of Culture 17 Burgundy Street 3, Milan. Do not Miss Out!
* To support the Zapatista autonomy, social movements "in the lower left" in Mexico and the world.
* To stop the attacks and the war of the Mexican government against indigenous communities of Chiapas.
* To spread the allegations of violence against Zapatista communities. * For summer
converge @ 2008 many from all over Italy and across Europe in solidarity with the Zapatistas in Chiapas.
