The work, lasting about a ' now has four actors who play the music sometimes alternating, sometimes together with the instruments. Woman tells of a girl history at the origin of the Jewish holiday of Purim, the other actors, the King of Persia, Mordecai, add-in-action, including set design and lighting essential. The Sopranos, Queen Esther, spoke with melodic and narrative moments interacting with the actors commenting on the history of the Jewish tradition finally with the girl while the woman impatiently asks her to hurry. They must leave immediately, there are dangers. Yet today, as then, we remember that the safety and freedom are a result of our commitment and our choices.

The Bible gives us an epic story placed in the fifth century. BCE, in the distant city of Susa, the capital of the kingdom led by the rich and powerful Persian King Ahasuerus. The protagonist is a beautiful orphan girl named Esther, a relative of the jew Mordecai, a descendant of the tribe of Benjamin and the family of King Saul. Esther, also called Hadassa, myrtle in Hebrew, is conducted to the palace, becomes the new king's wife and thanks to his wisdom and courage to save the people of Israel from the plots of the evil vizier Haman. Ester "good looking and handsome in appearance" (1, 7), appeared in front of Her Majesty, aware of the important task assigned to it: to prevent the evil Haman, evil belongs to the family of Agag, to achieve by royal edict, the extermination of all Jews of the empire; locked rooms in the imperial harem, while Mordecai is around nervously in front of the gates of the palace, calling upon all Jews to fast for three days and three nights, dressed in mourning and prays to God to come to her rescue. When you present, as beautiful as ever, at the banquet, Ahasuerus, amazed and captivated by the woman, laying the golden crown on his head and saves her life. Meanwhile, Aman and his wife Zeresh plot against the Jews and build a gallows for the hanging of the righteous Mordecai. The fate, as we are taught the scroll of Esther, is turning. Ahasuerus he listens to the beautiful queen and fulfilling Mordecai hanged on the same scaffold instead Aman, his wife and children. Justice triumphs, through faith in God and the political wisdom of a young woman who became a symbol of courage and beauty.
