WORKSHOP WITH JOSHUA Parmenter
XVIII CIM - http://www.aimi-musica.org/
AN INTRODUCTION TO INTENSIVE SuperCollider
http://supercollider.sourgeforce.net/
Joshua Parmenter - DXARTS University of Washington, Seattle
with the participation of Paul Volta, violin
The workshop, which lasts a day, will focus on using SuperCollider
for real-time processing of instrumental sound
.
The first part of the workshop will introduce the basic elements of
SuperCollider, processing signals from live instrumental
, manage modular and flexible real-time aspects of the
a performer. The second part will be devoted to some aspects
time management, composition
algorithms, and the combination of processing modules in
structures more complex systems that allow users to create dynamic
large scale to create compositions that use live
electronics. Finally, the workshop will conclude with a live demonstration
through the development of the sound of the violin.
The workshop will be held in English.
Joshua Parmenter, composer and researcher at the DXARTS
University of Washington, Seattle, is a leading developer of
